Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala – Two shocking cases of sexual abuse and rape of minor students in a Madarasa have come to light in Kerala. 3 maulavis have been arrested in this matter. According to media reports, 3 Madarasa teachers named L Siddique, Muhammad Shamir and Muhammad Rasalal, have been accused of unnatural rape. The action was taken after the Child Welfare Committee’s complaint. A case has been registered against the accused under the ‘Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act’ (POCSO).
Sexual abuse by Madarasa teachers was going on for a year. The accused had also threatened the students that ‘revelation about this sexual abuse will lead to serious consequences’. The Police are investigating further in this matter.
