Editorial – Treasonous face behind the Innocence : Greta Thunberg

The Netherlands recently witnessed a rally addressing the issues of water and air pollution. Such a rally was expected to discuss and advocate for environmental pollution control measures. However, the discussion took an unexpected turn towards the liberation of Palestine and opposition to Israel. Greta Thunberg was responsible for this shift. Greta is primarily known as an environmental activist, and therefore her participation in the rally was natural. However, when she made statements opposing Israel and advocating for Palestinian liberation, it raised questions for everyone. As a result, a young participant in the rally became disappointed, as he had expected the focus to be on pollution-related issues and not a platform for discussing Palestine. Even the audience reacted negatively, criticizing Greta and her supporters. They felt that Greta, recognized for her environmental activism for so many years, had suddenly transformed into an entirely different persona. Her true face was revealed to everyone. She proclaimed, “If Palestine is liberated, justice will be served to the environment as well.” But the truth is something different. Needless to say, this was an unsuccessful effort to endorse Hamas through a person who gained publicity in a short span of time. “People look upon me with respect; therefore, they will accept whatever I say,” is what Greta might be thinking. People are not naive enough to determine who should be supported or opposed. Greta should keep this in mind.

Insensitive Greta !

The recent incident in the Netherlands is fresh in our minds, but a few days ago, Greta had written in a social media post, “I stand with the people of Gaza. The world needs to come together and immediately demand an end to the occupation. Palestinians deserve justice and freedom.” It is astonishing that Greta, at the young age of 20, made such a demand, but it is also deeply troubling. “Does Greta herself support terrorism?” Such reactions emerged from the public. Her demand outrightly supports terrorism. People should be cautious about Greta, who claims to advocate for the environment, as well as being an ideal for students. People should stop considering her as an ideal. She does not have the right to speak about the environment or pollution. It is a grave mistake to give any importance to an organization like Hamas, which has caused many people to suffer and has committed numerous murders. Hamas has even brutally killed innocent children. Has Greta ever seen this? Has she heard the anger and cries of these people? How can someone who claims to care so much about the environment be indifferent about humanity ?

Environmentalists in a Quandary !

Why are the environmentalists, who claim to uphold human rights, now turning a blind eye to the role played by Greta? While it is true that environment and terrorism are common issues on a global scale, they are fundamentally distinct. This has led many to believe that Greta is avoiding any further discussion on the matter. Despite actively working on environmental issues since the age of 11, she should learn to comprehend reality rather than thinking too much of her so-called wisdom. In 2021, Greta expressed support for the Khalistani movement during the farmer protests in Delhi, India. However, she has never raised her voice against the discrimination rampant in America, the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus, or the atrocities committed against religious minorities in Pakistan. Isn’t this a double standard?

Find the real Polluters !

People with treasonous dreams of establishing a Muslim state in Israel are in sight. Many experts have expressed that the world is sliding towards a third World War due to the conflict between Israel and Hamas. Amidst this, these environmentalists are polluting the global atmosphere by supporting terrorism. Ironically, those who oppose physical pollution are the ones contributing to ideological and anti-national pollution, which is equally true. Who are these people associated with? What is their mentality? It is imperative to gather this information. Only with this understanding will the treasonous faces behind the mask of innocent environmental love be revealed, and their false pretences will undoubtedly collapse.
