Bengaluru (Karnataka) – Prashant Sambargi, a devout Hindu, has filed a complaint with the Police against the Sanehalli Muth Panditaradhya, Shivacharya Swamiji, who made a controversial statement that ‘Bhagwan Ganapati is an imaginary Deity, there is no need to worship him’.
The complaint states that Ganapati is a Deity adored by crores of devotees. To appease a section of society, Panditaradhya Shivacharya Swamiji has made a wrong statement about Ganapati, the seat of worship for most of the country and has been worshipped with devotion for hundreds of years. Such statements harm the communal fabric of society.
| Editorial Perspective
When it is expected that Swamijis should provide guidance and truth to society, it is wrong to make such statements to play cheap politics and gain popularity. It is imperative that a case be registered against the Swamiji and strict action be taken against him. |
