How can Lakshmi have four hands when no child is born with four arms ? : Swami Prasad Maurya’s infuriating statement

Swami Prasad Maurya, the leader of the Samajwadi Party

Lucknow/Lakshmanpuri (UP) – Swami Prasad Maurya, a leader of the Samajwadi Party said in a X (earlier Twitter) post – “How can a child born in any religion, caste, race, color or country have two hands, two legs, two ears, two eyes … There is only a head, stomach and back, if a child with four hands, eight hands, ten hands, twenty hands or a thousand hands has not been born till date, then how can Lakshmi be born with four hands ?”

“If you want to worship Goddess Lakshmi, then worship and respect your wife who is a Goddess in the true sense because she shoulders the responsibility of nurturing the family, providing happiness, prosperity, food and care with great devotion”, said Swami Prasad Maurya on his X post.

Editorial perspective

It will not be surprising if someone questions why no action has been taken against a leader who frequently makes derogatory statements about Hindu Dharma. This can happen only in India, and that too only about Hindu Dharma. If this had been said about some other religion, immediate stringent action would have been taken in India and abroad.
