Sukma (Chhattisgarh) – 16 Naxals were killed and 2 soldiers were injured in an encounter between security forces and Naxals here. A large amount of weapons have been seized from the slain Naxals. It has been said that the number of Naxals killed may increase. So far, 410 Naxals have been killed in the last one year. The encounter took place in the forest on the borders of Kerala Pal police station while a joint team of security forces was conducting an anti-Naxal operation.

After this action, Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote a post on Instagram and said that the government is committed to eradicating Naxalism before 31st March 2026. My appeal to those who carry weapons is that weapons and violence cannot bring about change, only peace and development can.
