New York (US) – On 21st October, the United States presented a resolution to the United Nations Security Council regarding the Israel-Hamas war. This resolution stated that Israel has the right to defend itself and Iran is opposing this.
The proposal states that Iran must stop supplying weapons to terrorist groups, which threaten the peace and security of the entire region. It is no secret that Iran is the one providing financial support and arms to not just Hamas but another Palestinian terrorist organisation, ‘Islamic Jihad’. Responding to terrorist attacks requires adherence to international law. However, along with this, the supply of essential goods to the Gaza Strip should also continue uninterrupted.
