Message on Vijayadashami (Dussehra)
Vijayadashami is the day to celebrate the slaying of demon Mahishasur by Goddess Shri Durga and that of Ravan by Deity Shriram ! Since the Deities of Hindus are invincible, their victory day is celebrated as Vijayadashami.
Nowadays, on the Vijayadashami day, going to the temple at the village entry point, crossing the village borders and gifting Apta leaves as gold is done merely as a ritual. Does the Hindu society ever think why the tradition of crossing the boundary was started in our Nation ? The ancient Hindu rulers knew that attack is the best form of defence; hence, the tradition symbolising bravery of crossing the enemy’s borders was started in our Nation. Nowadays this tradition has become outdated, and it is believed that the victory of a particular political party in elections means victory for Hindus.
In reality, if we look at events such as the Nuh riots, violence in Manipur, beheading (Sarr Tan Se Juda) of Kanhaiyalal, cutting of Ms Shraddha Walker into 35 pieces, it can be seen that the Hindu society is living in the shadow of defeat everywhere. Celebrating Vijayadashami in such an atmosphere would merely be a formality. Although Chandrayaan-3 succeeded in entering the orbit of the Moon, it is entirely a scientific breakthrough. It will be incorrect to credit Hindus for having crossed the borders !
O’ Hindus ! Remember that only an invincible society and its Nation deserve to celebrate Vijayadashami ! Therefore, on the occasion of Vijayadashami, decide on an action-oriented resolution to make the Hindu society invincible !
