Centenary Celebration of ‘Gita Press’ concludes
Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) – Prime Minister Narendra Modi while admiring the work of ‘Gita Press’ said, ‘Gita Press is the only printing house in the world which is not just an institution but a living faith. It is a temple for millions of people in the world. It has (Bhagawad) Gita in its name as well as in its work. Where there is Gita, there is Krishna and there is knowledge as well. Knowledge is accompanied by realization and seeking’. Prime Minister Modi participated in the concluding ceremony of the Gita Press Centenary celebration where he addressed the audience. 3. Foreign invaders burnt our libraries. The British destroyed our Gurukul tradition. Our sacred texts were in a state of extinction. At such times, organisations like the Gita Press saved them. Their books have reached every Indian household today. Our future generations are getting connected with these books.
