Police deny ‘Hindu vs Muslim’ angle !

New Delhi – 20-year-old Mohammad Zaid stabbed 19-year-old Rahul in Brijpuri area of New Delhi on the night of 23rd June. Rahul is being treated for grievous injury as he has been stabbed in the lower abdomen. His cousin, Sonu, was also injured in Zaid’s attack. The Police have registered a criminal offence in this case. The Police are in search of Zaid who has been absconding since. The locality has been tense and a Reserve Police Force has been deployed to prevent any untoward incident.

Joy Tirkey, DCP, Northeast Delhi said that Zaid and Rahul both live in the same neighbourhood and know each other. They have had a long standing feud which has led to Zaid’s attack. This should not be given a ‘Hindu vs Muslim’ angle. Zaid’s family is helping the Police to search for him. (Any conclusion should only be reached after a thorough instigation into the reality; yet why do only Hindus get beaten whenever there are conflicts between Hindus and Muslims ? It should be pondered why Hindu youth do not think of becoming violent to the extent of stabbing someone ! – Editor)
