Chamba (Himachal Pradesh) – A few days ago, fanatical Muslims killed a Hindu youth named Manohar and cut his body into 8 pieces and threw it in a drain in Sanghani area here. Manohar was killed because of his love affair with a Muslim girl. After this incident, the atmosphere here is tense and angry citizens burnt the house of one of the accused. Now the Hindu organisations here have taken to the streets and warned the jihadists to ‘leave Himachal Pradesh in the next 30 days, otherwise you will be responsible for what happens after 30 days’. Activists and members of organisations such as Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Hindu Jagran Manch, Brahmin Representative Sabha, Sippy Kalyan Sabha, Valmiki Sabha and Trade Board Chamba have participated under the leadership of Sanghani massacre struggle committee.
These organisations demanded that the trial of Manohar’s murder should be fast-tracked and the accused should be sentenced to death. On this occasion, slogans were raised against the Police and administration. The Police had placed barriers (barricading) at the Chauhra dam site here. This led to an argument between the workers of Rashtriya Devbhumi Party and the Police. The Police imposed curfew and refused to allow the protesters to proceed. Workers of these organisations staged a sit-in protest here.

Kamal Gautam, an activist of the movement, said that the brutal killing of Manohar is an attack on the Hindus of Himachal Pradesh. The conspiracy behind this murder should be investigated and the truth should be brought out. A statement has also been given to the Superintendent of Police in this regard.
Rashtriya Devbhumi Party chief Rumit Thakur pointed out that the names of the accused in Manohar’s murder have not been made public.
