Prayagraj – The Uttar Pradesh Government has geared up to make the Police, who carry out the biggest responsibility of ensuring the safety of devotees during the Mahakumbh Parva, fully competent. A written test is being conducted for the Police to make them mentally as well as physically competent. This initiative is being implemented as per the instructions of Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police Prashant Kumar. This is the first time that such an experiment is being conducted in the State. To see how competent the Police personnel are, special training sessions and exams are being conducted to make them capable of facing all challenges.
In this training session, the Police personnel are being trained on emergency arrangements, traffic arrangements, behaviour with devotees, and the spiritual significance of Mahakumbh Parva. After this training, they will face a written test, which would have a 100-mark question paper with 20 questions in it. The time limit shall be 1 hr. The Police personnel who fail in this test are allowed to take the test again after a 3-day training session. This test is mandatory for all the Police personnel.
