Administration destroys the unauthorised mazar built on Govt land in Bahadrabad, Uttarakhand

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) – The mazar built on Government land in Haridwar’s Bahadarbad City was bulldozed and demolished by the Administration. On hearing about it, the religious fanatic Muslims rushed to the place and demanded an explanation from the administrative officers. It was then that Police had to lathicharge to bring the situation under control.

The religious fanatics built the illegal mazar on the Government Land adjacent to the Sanskrit University in Bahadarabad City. They named the mazar ‘Sayyad Baba Roshan Ali Shah Mazar’. The local residents informed that this mazar was to be converted into Masjid.

Last Month President of the student’s organisation Sagar Kemaria wrote a letter to the District officer complaining, that the loud speaker in mazar is hindering the students and disturbing their studies. Making note of the complaint, the administration brought a bulldozer on the 12thJune for demolishing the mazar. This time they had taken Police protection. This time there was a large mob of religious fanatics at that place.

The religious fanatics then began demanding that temples of other religions should be demolished too. Seeing that the mob was getting aggressive the Police lathicharged. Administration gave information that ‘similar action was being taken against numerous illegal construction in the city’.
