Vaishakha Krushna Saptami (The 7th day of the dark fortnight of Vaishakha month) marks the Birthday of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale. As the month begins, every seeker eagerly looks forward to celebrating the Birthday of Shri Guru in Shri Vishnu form.
Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale turned 81 on 11th May 2023. Every year, seekers at Sanatan’s Ramnathi Ashram in Goa celebrate His Birthday in a low-key manner. However, when thousands of seekers from Maharashtra, Karnataka and Goa received the joyous message that they could personally attend Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale’s Birthday Celebrations in Goa, their happiness knew no bounds. They started to prepare for their journey to see Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale, the life force and inspiration of their spiritual journey towards Moksha (Final Liberation).
Typically, all the programmes organised by Sanatan Sanstha are epitomes of discipline and thorough management. Not only Sanatan’s seekers, but the Police and local Administration are used to Sanatan Sanstha’s detailed planning and effective execution. Hence, even though thousands of seekers from different places were expected to attend the ‘Brahmotsav’, it was bound to be celebrated in a disciplined and bhav-enriched manner.
Over 10,000 seekers from Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and other parts of India were fortunate to actually attend the ‘Brahmotsav’.
The venue was a 13-acre ground in Farmagudi, Ponda (Goa) that included the centre stage, sidetrack for the Divine chariot, covered seating arrangements around the arena similar to an amphitheatre, mobile toilets and parking areas.
The seekers organising the ‘Brahmotsav’ made all the necessary arrangements to ensure that everyone could attend the event in a bhav-enriched manner and without any inconvenience.
The ‘Brahmotsav’ Celebration was an exemplary display of the discipline and seekership in Sanatan’s seekers
Responsible seekers of Sanatan Sanstha enforce discipline on seekers as much as they shower love upon them. They also teach seekers to lead a stable and disciplined life with the help of the Personality Defects and Ego Removal Process.
Consequently, seekers diligently followed all the instructions in a bhav-enriched manner and showed exemplary discipline during the Celebrations.
We should note that Sanatan’s true strength lies in seekers who have immense bhav (Spiritual emotion) towards Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale and those who lead a disciplined life.
1. The road from Farmagudi to the ‘Brahmotsav’ venue was single-lane and narrow. The seekers in all the vehicles patiently formed a long line. It was nothing like the traffic jams we see at city intersections, with vehicles honking and getting frustrated due to delays.
2. With a District-wise parking allotment, the seekers strictly followed instructions to enter and exit through their respective entrance only.
3. The seekers were invited to have Darshan of the Divine chariot (in which Shri Guru was seated during the Celebrations). Without a thought of rushing homes, the seekers had bhav-filled Darshan as the names of their Districts were called out. In this way, over 10,000 seekers were able to have a glimpse of the Divine chariot and carry on with their return journeys within a short time.
4. The seekers from the Districts had reached the venue early due to the restricted bus timings. Instead of wasting time and speaking unnecessarily, they chanted and conversed with seekers from other Districts about spiritual practice.
Overall, the environment at the Farmagudi venue was such that, anyone could easily guess it had been organised by none other than Sanatan Sanstha. The ‘Brahmotsav’ was a testimony that Sanatan’s seekers have imbibed the virtue of discipline, as guided by Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale through His various guidance, satsangs (Spiritual discourses) and other direct and indirect means.

Gurumouli (Sachchidananda Parabrahman [Dr] Athavale) took care of everything for the seekers who had come from distant places
Usually, a disciple serves his Guru (Master), attains wisdom from Him and evolves spiritually.
However, during the ‘Brahmotsav’, the Guru (Sachchidananda Parabrahman [Dr] Athavale) took care of everything concerning His beloved seekers to ensure they have a Divine and joyous experience. It is unusual for the Guru to take care of the smallest requirement of His seekers and that His seekers embark on a 18-20 hours road trip during the peak of summer to get His glimpse. We were fortunate to see all this.

Sanatan’s seekers relived those precious moments !
Many seekers would remember the precious moments in 1995 when Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale celebrated the Amrut Mahotsav (75th Birthday) of His Guru, Saint Bhaktaraj Maharaj, with great splendour. Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale and some seekers worked for almost 8-10 months to make it successful.
Last month, seekers worked around the clock to ensure every element of planning was executed to perfection. Many seekers who started performing sadhana (Spiritual practice) under the guidance of Sanatan Sanstha before 1995 share these experiences when they speak about their spiritual journey, and cherish those bhav-enriched moments. Many seekers wanted to celebrate Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale’s Birthday similarly, and the ‘Brahmotsav’ fulfilled their desire.
Many seekers who had participated in the satseva during the Amrut Mahotsav in 1995 could not contribute to the ‘Brahmotsav’ due to old age, and they lament it. However, they were joyous as they saw the precious moments during the ‘Brahmotsav’. Many even felt that the purpose of their life had been fulfilled.
Individual spiritual experiences of seekers published in SanatanPrabhat are according to the Principle – ‘Where there is bhav (Spiritual emotion), there is God’. It is not that every individual will have similar experiences. |
Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale has never called Himself an Avatar (Incarnation). Nor does Sanatan Sanstha call Him an Avatar.
According to the ancient and profound Nadibhavishya, the Saptarshis have written the future of every individual. Saptarshis have written the Jeevnadipattis through H.H. (Dr) OmUlagnathan, who says in Tamil that Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale is an Incarnation of Shri Vishnu. |
