The Idol of Ram Lalla will be installed in Ayodhya by PM Modi

  • The ceremony will be held in December or January
  • The 7-day festival will be declared as a national holiday

Ayodhya (UP) – The Idol of Ram Lalla will be enshrined in the glorious Shriram Temple being constructed in Ayodhya from 15th December 2023 to 26th January 2024. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform the ceremony organised by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust. However, the date of this ceremony has not yet been fixed. Champat Rai, the General-Secretary of the Trust, informed that Ram Lalla’s ceremony will be celebrated for 7 days across the country.

Champat Rai further said,

1. The work on the ground floor and the sanctum sanctorum of the Shriram Mandir will be completed by 15th December. 85% of the construction on the ground floor has been completed.

2. The Treasurer of the Trust H.P. Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj will prepare the invitation card for this ceremony. Whereas, Mahant Nritya Gopaldas will sign it.

3. Various Saints and Dharmacharyas will be invited for this celebration.

The Idol of Ram Lalla will be 8 feet tall

The work of making 3 Idols for Ram Lalla has been started. 2 black stones from Karnataka and a white marble from Rajasthan is being used to make them. Now which of these 3 Idols will be kept in the Sanctum Sanctorum has not yet been decided. It is being estimated that it will take a period of 4 months to make this Idol. Artisan Ganesh L Bhat from Karnataka and artisan Satyanarayan Pandey from Rajasthan are the ones who have taken lead of the project. Sculptor Ganesh Bhatt has said that these Idols are going to be 51 inches in height. The total height of these Idols after installation can reach up to 8 feet.
