Akhand Bharat map in the new Parliament

New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated the New Parliament building. Among the murals of the new building, there is a map that represents the concept of ‘Akhand Bharat’. Many have applauded this map which has become very popular on social media.

Important regions and cities from ancient India have been denoted on the ‘Akhand Bharat’ map which also shows the influence of ancient India in erstwhile Takshashila, presently in Pakistan.

The Director-General of National Gallery of Modern Art, Adwaita Gadanayak said, “Our idea was to depict the influence of Indian thought during the ancient ages. It extended from the present day Afghanistan in the north-western region to south-eastern Asia,” Gadanayak has contributed in the selection of the arts and artefacts exhibited in the New Parliament building of India.

Pakistan goes berserk !

Pakistan has resented the installation of the ‘Akhand Bharat’ map in the New Parliament building of India. Its citizens have expressed fear about India taking Pakistan under its control. Some of their reporters have commented on television, “We will never give Pakistan to India. On the contrary, we will make India ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’ (Islamic India).”
