Lucknow (UP) – ‘The namaz prayers are being offered across the State of UP on the occasion of Ramzan but nowhere the road or the traffic has been blocked. The reason for this is that there is rule of law in the State and the law is same for all the communities’, said Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of UP, at an event here on 22nd April. Muslims celebrated Ramzan Eid-ul-Fitr on 22nd April. At several places across the country, roads were blocked to offer Eid’s and Friday noon’s namaz every year; but that did not happen in UP this year. A senior Police officer said, ‘At 31,838 locations across the State, Eid’s namaz was offered peacefully. The credit goes to proper planning and efforts of the Administration’.

Each festival has become a celebration in UP
Yogi Adityanath further said, ‘People were scared of Azamgarh’s name. Today, there are expressways in that District. An airport and university are also being constructed. No one is scared of Azamgarh today. Fear has turned into celebrations. Dipotsav (festival of lights) is celebrated at Ayodhya. Dev Dipawali is celebrated at Kashi. Prayagraj is known for Kumbh and Magh fairs. Vrundavan is known for Rangotsav (festival of colours). Each festival has become a celebration in the State.

Editorial viewpoint
If this can happen in Uttar Pradesh, why can’t it happen across the country ? Why other States are unable to implement this ? Or it can happen only if there are Chief Ministers like Yogi Adityanath ! |
