The intention underlying the display of this image is not to hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus but to make them comprehend the denigration – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat |
Mumbai – Actors Salman Khan, Venkatesh, and Ram Charan dancing to the song ‘Yentamma’ from the upcoming Hindi film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ in a Hindu temple wearing lungi, shoes and boots have sparked a backlash from Hindus after a video went viral on social media. This dance is also being opposed as it is obscene and vulgar. Former cricketer Sivaramakrishnan and film critic Prashanth Rangaswamy from Tamil Nadu slammed the song on Twitter. “This film has degraded South Indian culture,” he said. The director of this film is Farhad Samji. (Would Farhad Samji direct a song with actors dancing in a mosque like this ? Why are such songs filmed only in temples ? – Editor)
This is highly ridiculous and degrading our South Indian culture. This is not a LUNGI , THIS IS A DHOTI. A classical outfit which is being shown in a DISGUSTING MANNER https://t.co/c9E0T2gf2d

Sivaramakrishnan said, “The Central Board of Film Certification should take action against the film producers. It is wrong to dance in a temple with shoes on. The lungi worn by the actors is not a lungi but a dhoti. A classical outfit is being shown in a disgusting manner.”
