Delhi Court orders Archaeological Survey of India !
New Delhi – The Hindu side informed Saket Court that the Idols of Hindu Deities were in a disgraceful condition in the Qutub Minar complex. On this, the Court ordered that to respect the religious feelings of the people, the Idols of the Deities in the Qutub Minar complex should be kept properly by Archaeological Survey of India. The next hearing on the petition in this regard will be held on 24th April.
Astonished to see a number of idols that are lying in broken form. How can this structure be pride of India. We have to do something for restoration of Hindu and Jain Temples. https://t.co/ZGKhdvIwil

- Hindu side advocate H.H. Hari Shankar Jain informed the Court, “Qutub Minar was built by demolishing 27 Jain and Hindu temples. That is why we have filed a petition for right to do puja (Ritualistic worship) here.”
- On this, the Court asked, “Do you wish to demolish the existing structure ?”. Advocate H.H. Jain said, “We do not expect any structure to be demolished. According to Hindu Dharma, if the Deities in a temple are consecrated, it always remains a temple. This is why we are demanding our earlier right to do puja (Ritualistic worship) in this area.”
- The Court asked, ‘What evidence do you have that the temple was consecrated here ?’ H.H. Jain said that there is a “Loh Stambh” (iron pillar) here. Sanskrit verses are written on it. The “Loh Stambh” is the flag of Shri Vishnu. Even today there are Idols of Deities in the Qutub Minar area.”

Why the Court needs to order it ? Why does the Department of Archaeology not realise this ? Dissolve the Archaeology Department which always tramples the religious sentiments of Hindus ! |
