Beijing (China) – At one time, China was the most populous country in the world. However, because of strict laws over the period of the last few decades, there is a significant decline in population growth. The youth population has declined a lot and there is an increase in the senior citizen population. To change this situation, to increase the childbirth rate, China has prohibited dowries given at the time of weddings.
