Islam did not come from outside India ! : Mahmood Madani, Jamiat-Ulema-e-Hind

Jamiat-Ulema-e-Hind chief Mahmood Madani’s claim !

Mahmood Madani

New Delhi – ‘Islam has a long relationship with all religions. Islam did not come from outside India. India is our country. India belongs as much to Mahmood Madani as it does to Narendra Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Not an inch more or less than Madani’, Jamiat-Ulema-e-Hind chief Mahmood Madani said in a statement. He was speaking at the ongoing convention of Jamiat-Ulema-e-Hind at Ramlila Maidan. He also said that there is no dispute between RSS and Muslims.

Madani further said,

1. India is the land of Abdul Bashar Saidala Alam, the first Prophet of Allah. India is the first homeland of Muslims. Hence, saying that ‘Islam came from outside’ is completely wrong and baseless. India is the best country for Hindi Muslims.

2. There is a need for an independent law to punish those who commit violence against minorities. Cases of hatred and incitement against Muslims and Islamophobia are on the rise.

3. Today there is an atmosphere of hatred in the country. Baseless propaganda is in full swing. Those who are dangerous to the country are being let loose.

4. In the current situation, if leaders who consider Swami Vivekanand, Mohandas Gandhi, Nehru, and Chishti as ideals are being mere spectators, then it is impossible to imagine what the state of the country would be.

Let’s forget the discrimination and enmity and come together to make the country strong in the world !

I invite and appeal to RSS and its chief to come and let us forget our discrimination and enmity and embrace each other. Let’s make the country a powerful country in the world. We have no complaints about the brilliance of Sanatan Dharma. Madani also appealed that you should not have any complaints about Islam. He said that incidents against us have increased over the years. The way the Government should have acted against such incidents, which was their responsibility, is not being followed. The very definition of Hindutva has been changed in the country. (Why doesn’t Madani talk about jihadi terrorism ? – Editor)

Editorial Viewpoint

Will anyone ever believe this ? Attempts are being made to mislead the country by making such statements. This is an attempt to say that ‘India is a country of Islamists’; however, there is a need to discuss how many such Islamists are involved in the development of India and how much they are involved in the mayhem and other wrong things in India !
