New Delhi – On the night of 9th December 2022, soldiers of China’s Peoples’ Liberation Army crossed the Indian border in the Yangtse area of Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. There was a clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers. Indian soldiers stopped Chinese soldiers from infiltrating the border and forced them to go back. The local commanders of the two armies then held a flag meeting, to reduce tension and maintain peace. The above information was given by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on the 13th of December 2022; before which the opposition parties created pandemonium in the Parliament on this issue.
Not even an inch of land will be given away ! – Home Minister Amit Shah
The Central Home Minister Amit Shah said outside the Parliament, China doesn’t have control over even an inch of India’s land, and it will not be allowed to do so. Our soldiers showed courage. They chased the infiltrators and protected the land. Congress didn’t allow to conduct the question-answer session. The Government assured Congress of giving answers to all its queries; still, it didn’t allow the proceedings during the Parliamentary session. I checked the list of question-answer session to be held for an hour and I realised the anxiety felt by Congress when I read the fifth question as the question was regarding the cancellation of licence of ‘Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (RGF)’ under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act. RGF received grants worth Rs 1.20 crores during the financial years 2005-06 and 2006-07. The Home Ministry has cancelled its registration after following the necessary legal procedure. The amount was received from the Chinese embassy and has been used for research on the progress of Indo-China relations. China grabbed thousands of acres of land in 1962 during the Congress regime.
https://t.co/cNgBqQMxDK

Air Force thrice foils attempts of infiltration by Chinese drones !
After the clashes between India and China at Tawang, the Indian Air Force has started flying fighter planes over the Arunachal Pradesh border. Before the 9th December clashes, China tried to send drones into the Arunachal Pradesh border area when the Indian Air Force deployed fighter planes in that area. In the last few weeks, Indian fighter planes 2-3 times drove away Chinese drones coming in the direction of the Indian army’s posts.
Why the Govt. didn’t give this information earlier in the Parliament ! – asks MP Owaisi
AIMIM’s MP Asaduddin Owaisi stated on Tawang issue that there were clashes between Indian – Chinese soldiers on the 9th of December 2022. Why the Government didn’t inform us about it on the same day since the Parliamentary session was on ? After 3 days, our media is telling us about it that our brave soldiers were injured. We have full faith in our army, but there is weak leadership in this country. The Modi Government is scared of even taking the name of China.
The reports coming from Arunachal Pradesh are worrying and alarming. A major clash took place between Indian and Chinese soldiers and the government has kept the country in the dark for days. Why was the Parliament not informed, when it is in session? https://t.co/tRyn0LvgOM

Situation stable on Indian border ! – China
AFP news agency has given the news that on the Tawang issue, China has stated the situation to be stable on the border. On the other hand, none of the Chinese media has published any news about clashes on the Tawang border. A post by Hu Xijin, the editor of the English edition of the China Government’s mouthpiece ‘Global Times’ has been made viral on social media, stating that no life loss occurred during the clashes between India and China.
Editorial viewpoint
China will continue to play mischief and will stop only after teaching it a good lesson, but India needs to make necessary efforts for the same ! |
