Indian Cricket Board demanded to organise tournaments at neutral countries
Mumbai/Islamabad – Pakistan will host the Asia Cup cricket tournament. In this tournament, the Indian team will not travel to Pakistan. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has demanded that the tournament be held in a neutral Country. This demand has been criticised by the Pakistan Cricket Board. Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi and former player Saeed Anwar also criticised the demand.

A boycott threat has been issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) against the 2023 World Cup in India. Since 2012, there have been no series between the two countries. In 2008, India last toured Pakistan for the Asia Cup.
Shahid Afridi tweeted that, this shows a lack of cricket administration experience in India. According to Saeed Anwar, all international teams and international cricketers visit Pakistan; so what is BCCI’s problem ? As BCCI demands a neutral venue for the Asia Cup, next year’s World Cup should also be played at a neutral site.
Editorial viewpoint
Congratulatory decision of the Board of Control for Cricket in India. India needs to impose a diplomatic boycott on Pakistan. There is no need to maintain any kind of relationship with them. |
