Hindus angered regarding the demolition of a Temple wall in Rajsamand (Rajasthan)

Rajsamand (Rajasthan) – On the 16th of September the local authorities demolished the wall of the Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple in the Railmagra area citing that the wall had been built on encroached land. The pro-Hindu organisations rushed to the spot and opposed the demolition. The Police took some of them into custody but released them after stiff opposition from the Hindus. Police though is refuting that they had taken any of the protesting Hindus into custody.

Nathdwara Police officer Chaggan Purohit informed that as shops had been put up near the temple, some individuals built this wall to prevent encroachment into the temple premises. the local authorities took action against this and demolished it.

Editorial viewpoint

The minorities have built unauthorised places of worship country-wide. In many cities, they have constructed in the middle of the road, yet the authorities have not taken any action against them. So it would not be wrong to say that because the Hindus are extremely tolerant the Police and Administration impose their authority on them.
