Ruby Khan who brought Shri Ganesh Murti to her house, participated enthusiastically in the immersion of the Ganesh Idol

She received several death threats after bringing the Idol to her house !

Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh)  – Ruby Khan, a Muslim woman, ritually immersed an Idol of Shri Ganesh which was originally set up in her home on the occasion of Shri Ganesh Chaturthi. To which local Maulanas (Islamic scholars) immediately issued a fatwa against her for setting up the Idol. But Ruby Khan paid no heed to their threats and continued to worship Shri Ganesh without flinching. Two policemen had been appointed to provide security to Ruby Khan.

Ruby Khan said, ‘Just because I set up an Idol of Shri Ganesh in my house, I started receiving threats of being excommunicated from Islam and of burning me alive with my family. After leaving the house, ‘I was regularly jeered at – A Hindu woman is walking on the street ! But I am not afraid of fatwas. I have kept the Idol of Shri Ganesh with great faith and enthusiasm and I did the visarjan (immersion) of the Idol with the very same enthusiasm.

In case any Muslim performs any act according to the Hindu faith, then such people are immediately opposed & threatened by religious fanatics. It is sad to note that the so-called progressives (actually regressive) are silent on this fact !
