Shopian (Jammu and Kashmir) – Jihadi terrorists continue to target Hindus. On 16th August, terrorists fired at two Kashmiri Hindus working in an apple orchard in the Chotipora area. One person was killed and another was injured. Both of them are brothers. The name of the dead Hindu is Sunil Kumar. After the attack, security forces launched a search operation in the area.

Since the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir, incidents of attacks targeting Hindus and citizens outside the State, have increased. A total of 16 such incidents have taken place this year. By this, they are trying to oppose the resettlement of Kashmiri Hindus in the Kashmir Valley.
