Washington (USA) – The US State Department has issued an alert to its citizens around the world following the death of Ayman al-Zawahiri, leader of the jihadist terrorist organisation Al-Qaeda. According to the US State Department, supporters of Al-Qaeda or its affiliated terrorist organisations may attempt to attack US officials or citizens.

US citizens are urged to take extra precautions when travelling abroad. Furthermore, the defence and intelligence agencies have been ordered to be more cautious, as terrorists can also target US allies.
