Shivalinga in a village temple in Varanasi vandalised by miscreants

Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) –There was tension in Palihpatti Village after the breaking of the Shivalinga (Pindi) in the Shiva Temple here by unknown individuals. The people calmed down after the Sarpanch Hukum Singh applied cement and repaired the Pindi. (According to Dharma Shastra it is necessary to immerse the broken Idol in the flowing water and should be replaced by a new Idol. – Editor)

The incident of vandalisation happened at night. It came to light when the ladies of the village came to the temple to offer puja in the morning. There is no priest in the temple. Now there is Police security at the temple and the Police are searching for the culprits.

Hindus feel such incidents should not happen in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh ! The Government should take steps to search who is behind this act and put them in prison for life.
