Earlier Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan had said that his Government is committed to taking strict action against those who disturb religious harmony. (It is like all broth and no beef – Editor)

The Bangladesh National Human Rights Commission also ordered the Ministry of Home Affairs to investigate the attack and take action against those who played an irresponsible role in preventing attacks on Hindus.

The reaction of a suffering Hindu woman

A victimised Hindu woman who participated in the protest said that we don’t know how long this terrorism will continue to haunt us. Who will give us justice and protection ? I would have lost my life in the violence. God saved me, but what kind of survival is this ? I am left with only this sari on my body.

Editorial Viewpoints

  • Please realise that after any alleged oppression of Muslims in India, fanatic Muslims carry out violent protests all over the country, whereas in Bangladesh, despite the constant attacks on Hindus, the Hindus there protest peacefully.
  • Apparently, not a single secularist or progressive talks against atrocities on Bangladeshi Hindus.
