China is responsible for Sri Lanka’s present condition

Washington (US) – Bill Burns Chief of US Intelligence CIA has held China responsible for Sri Lanka’s present financial condition. While addressing a gathering he said that Sri Lanka did not realise trap of China and got caught in it.

Investment through the medium of loan by China is responsible for the bankruptcy of Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka got trapped in this loan business. Other Nations should be alert to this error of Sri Lanka as warning. They should learn a lesson from this.

Agitation continues despite Ranil Wickremesinghe has been appointed as the President

Even after appointing former PM Ranil Wickremesinghe as the President, the people of Sri Lanka have not stopped their agitation. They allege that Rajpakshe family has used Ranil Wickremesinghe as their pawn while appointing him as the President. Hence the situation will not change. People believe that, Ranil Wickremesinghe has been nominated by Rajpakshe family to save their power.

Prof. MG Tharaka said that the leaders associated with the Government had made many claims about improving the situation; but the state has not changed. Agitators feel that by appointing Wickremesinghe as the President Rajpakshe family was trying to save self from the allegations.
