Brutal attack by religious fanatics on a Hindu youth watching Nupur Sharma’s video : Bihar

Police accused of suppressing the incident

Sitamarhi (Bihar) – A Hindu youth named Ankit Sharma was watching a video of Nupur Sharma in the market when religious fanatics brutally attacked him with a knife. Ankit has been admitted to a hospital in Darbhanga where he is being treated in ICU and his condition is serious.

Ankit said he was watching WhatsApp with his friend in a shop with a video of Nupur Sharma. Few persons came from the back side and asked him if he was a supporter of Nupur Sharma. When he said yes, they were angry. First, they blew cigarette smoke over his face, then they started abusing him and when he opposed, they attacked him with a knife on his right side of the waist.

The incident occurred on the 16th of July 2022.  The Police registered an FIR lodged by Ankit’s family only after the reference of Nupur Sharma was removed from the complaint. The Police have accused 5 persons from Nanpur village including Gaura alias Mohammad Nihal, and Mohammad Bilal. Two persons have been arrested so far by the Police; however, Ankit’s family has been continuously receiving threats. (Hindus don’t expect such discrimination when BJP is in power in Bihar forming a coalition with  Janata Dal ! – Editor)
