Violation of Bareilly (UP) Municipality’s order prohibiting the sale of meat along the path of the Kawad yatra

Religious fanatics’ violent attack on the team of municipal workers. A BJP leader injured.

Bareilly  (Uttar Pradesh) – The Municipal Administration had given an order that shops that sold meat and biryani on the path of the kawad yatra should remain closed. Still, some shops stayed open. The Municipal team along with BJP leader Ankit Bhatia and some other individuals went to close these shops, the religious fanatics attacked them with swords and sticks. Ankit Bhatia was injured in this attack and was admitted to the hospital. The incident is recorded on CCTV cameras.

After this incident, the enraged Hindus agitated by stopping traffic on the roads. Presently the situation is tense but peaceful in that area. This incident took place near the Ramjanaki Temple here. 4 individuals have been arrested in this connection and the investigation is on.
