A welcome decision from the Yogi Adityanath Government

Lucknow (UP) – No new madarasas will receive Government grants from now on ! This bold decision has been taken by the council of ministers led by Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of UP. Currently, there are 16,461 madarasas in the State, out of which 559 madarasas receive Government grants which is used to pay the salary of the teachers and other workers.

The Samajwadi Party had started this project of providing Government grants to madarasas in 2003.
