We came across information on some Gurukuls in India where many of the ancient 14 Vidyas (Knowledge forms) and 64 Kalas (Art forms) are being taught. The students of these Gurukuls excel in various subjects and pass out as graduates. This is praiseworthy. However, there is only one shortcoming in these – How to perform sadhana (Spiritual practice) is not taught by them. Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay will also teach various Vidyas and Kalas in a similar manner, but the foundation of all teaching will be sadhana. Education on many Vidyas and Kalas will be complementary to the students for their God-realisation. Therefore, some students who pass out from the Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay will become Saints only. – Paratpar Guru (Dr) Athavale
