Bareilly (UP) – In a recent case reported in Bareilly, a minor Hindu girl was lured into a relationship and then raped, blackmailed, and exploited by a man named Qasim who had introduced himself as Rahul. Qasim also recorded the video of the rape. When the girl realised that Qasim was a Muslim, she distanced herself from him. Qasim was enraged by the girl’s attempts to avoid him, so he attacked her with around 12 other accomplices and even tried to abduct her. The accused has been arrested in the case and is lodged in jail, Bareilly Police tweeted.

- According to the information given by the victim, Qasim tied a red thread on his wrist and wore a red tilak on his forehead. Qasim and the victim live in the same neighbourhood.
- When the accused tried to abduct the victim, he was pressuring her to get married as per his religion. At that moment, the victim yelled loudly attracting the attention of the public. People from the area gathered and caught hold of Qasim and handed him over to the Police. Police have registered a case against Qasim under the sections of the POCSO Act, anti-conversion, and rape.
