Why do secularists oppose ‘The Kashmir Files’ ?

“In 1990, during VP Singh’s rule, Kashmiri Hindus were not massacred in a single day, its preparation had been going on for many years. Earlier money supply, weapons training, arms supply was done. In 1989, when Farooq Abdullah was the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, he had the support of the Congress. At that time, Tikalal Taplu, the leader of Kashmiri Hindus, and many others, including Justice Neelkanth Ganju were killed only because they were Hindus. In fact, the genocide of Hindus had started in Kashmir after Jawaharlal Nehru. The Congress had implemented Article 370 and Article 35A in Kashmir. Therefore, the Congress party, Farooq Abdullah’s National Conference and Mufti Mohammad Saeed’s party are also responsible for the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus”, said Kashmiri scholar Mr Lalit Ambardas, participating in a Special Online Discussion organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti on ‘Why do secularists oppose The Kashmir Files ?’

While replying to the allegation that the film is against Muslims and not Hindus, and thousands of Muslims too were killed at that time, Mr Ambardas said, “In the 90’s, anti-Hindu slogans were being raised from loudspeakers of mosques, such as ‘Yahan kya chalega, Nizam-e-Mustafa’, ‘Ye Hindu, leave Kashmir’, ‘Hindus, leave your wives here’ ? Were the Hindus shouting such slogans ? Apart from one or two Kashmiri Muslims like Fayyaz and Aurangzeb, who were working for the country in the Army, most of them have been killed in Jihad, terrorism and anti-India activities. They cannot be counted with the Hindus”.

“Also, if the Kashmiri Muslims had saved the Hindus, Hindus would not have been displaced from Kashmir. Then Governor Jagmohan had literally tried to save Kashmiri Hindus. This is why, Kashmir is in India today. This is why, the Congress, the Communists, the Liberals, the Secularists are constantly slandering Jagmohan. However, the ‘The Kashmir Files’ has only exposed the truth hidden by these people for 32 years. The Modi Government should accept the fact that Hindus were massacred in Kashmir, conduct a thorough inquiry as per the UN rules and take strict action against the culprits”, demanded Mr Lalit Ambardas.
