Establish the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ so as to get state recognition for ‘Yugadi’ (The first day of the Chaitra month) as the New Year Day

The first day of Chaitra is a ‘Yugadi’. The word ‘Yugadi’ is made-up of ‘Yuga’ and ‘adi’. It is on this day that Deity Brahma created the Universe. The first day of Creation, Chaitra Shukla Pratipada, is also the day when the counting of time began. Though this be the case, 1st January is celebrated as New Year’s Day all over the country. This is a cultural defeat for Independent India. Realising the importance of the date that is the beginning of the Universe and to change the history of our cultural defeat, Chaitra Shukla Pratipada should be given State recognition as the New Year’s Day. For this to happen, it is necessary to constitutionally declare India a ‘Hindu Nation’.

Since India’s virtuous Kings knew the importance of the ‘Yugadi, they began their Almanacs from this day (such as Ujjain’s King Vikramaditya’s ‘Vikram Samvat’, King Shalivahana’s ‘Shalivahana Samvat’ in 78 AD, King Yudhishthir’s ‘Yudhishthir Samvat’). Now is the time to recollect their greatness. O’ Hindus ! Through your utmost efforts at the physical, mental, spiritual and political level, get State recognition for Chaitra Shukla Pratipada to be the New Year’s Day by establishing the ‘Hindu Nation’ in India.  – Paratpar Guru (Dr) Jayant Athavale (Founder, Sanatan Sanstha)
