Ranchi (Jharkhand) – A special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Court sentenced the head of Rashtriya Janata Dal, Lalu Prasad Yadav for the case of illegal withdrawal of Rs. 139.35 crore from Doranda treasury in Jharkhand, between 1990 to 1995.

Thirty-seven others, who were convicted in this case, will be sentenced soon. Prior to this, Lalu Prasad was sentenced to 15-years in jail in four other cases related to Dumka, Deoghar, and Chaibasa treasuries fodder scam.
