
Mau (UP) – Tensions prevailed in Uttar Pradesh’s Khanpur village after a statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar was found desecrated. The incident took place on 23rd November. The locals claimed that the hand and face of the statue were damaged by hitting it with bricks.

The angry mob of villagers blocked the Ranipur road and protested against the incident. The officials of the District Administration and Police reached the spot after getting the information and controlled the situation. The protest of villagers ended only after the new statue was installed.
