The reason behind the attempt to take Quran to the temple is not yet clear. A similar incident in Comilla, Bangladesh had led to communal riots, when a religious fanatic during Navratri had placed the Quran at the feet of an Idol of Deity Hanuman. It is not clear whether the incident was a conspiracy to create a similar situation.
