Sanatan Sanstha is dangerous, PFI and Zakir Naik are not !

New York (USA) – Facebook has compiled a confidential list of 4,000 dangerous individuals and organisations around the world and has included Sanatan Sanstha in it. The list was released by the news agency ‘The Intercept’ in the United States. This list contains 10 other organisations in India. The list does not include absconding terrorist Zakir Naik and the Popular Front of India, which is involved in various terrorist activities. Most individuals and organisations on this list are from West and South Asia, as well as Islamic countries.
It also includes the names of armed social organisations and terrorists. Last year, Facebook cited a list of 600 armed social organisations and deleted approximately 2,400 Facebook pages and 14,200 groups operated by them.
This list is not comprehensive : Facebook
There was no direct response from Facebook for validation after ‘The Intercept’ revealed the list. Brian Fishman, Director of Facebook’s ‘anti-terrorism and dangerous organisations’ policy division, tweeted that the list was not comprehensive. He said, “Facebook constantly updates such lists. This list is broken. In this context, I would like to make some suggestions regarding the legal obligations imposed on us. I want to point out some errors. We do not announce such a list. Dangerous organisations should not be allowed to evade the rules, they should not be allowed to sidestep the legal framework and security threats, and this is the purpose behind this.
Praising, representing and supporting blacklisted individuals and organisations should not be allowed on our platform; therefore, such text is banned and if any post related to it is published, the text is deleted”.
According to ‘The Intercept’, Facebook has banned approximately 1,000 armed groups. This list was taken from the US Government. After the terrorist attack on New York, the then-President George W Bush administration had made a special list for sanctions. The term ‘global terrorist’ has been used for specific reasons.
Names of other organisations in India on Facebook’s list
1. Communist Party of India (Maoist)
2. National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah)
3. All Tripura Tiger Force
4. Kangleipak Communist Party
5. Khalistan Tiger Force
6. People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak
7. Indian Mujaheedin
8. JeM affiliated ‘Afzal Guru Squad’
9. Various local groups and sub-groups supporting Islamic State and Taliban (active from other countries including India).
(After reading these names, a clear attempt to deliberately place Sanatan Sanstha in the ranks of the real terrorist organisations is evident. Most of these organisations are banned in India. Facebook is trying to defame an organisation which is not involved in any unlawful activity ! – Editor)
Sanatan exposes Facebook’s Hindu-hatred stand !
Mumbai – Recently, an International Conference was held Online in USA under the name of ‘Dismantling Global Hindutva’, wherein a lot of muck was thrown against Hindu Dharma and attempts were made to associate ‘Hindutva’ with terrorism. This clearly showed the conspiracy which is going on in the USA to counter the increasing influence of ‘Hindutva’. Consequently, attempts were made through social media such as Facebook, to label a spiritual organisation like Sanatan Sanstha ‘dangerous’. In fact, on the same Facebook, there are more than 50 accounts of Dr Zakir Naik, whom India has designated as a Jihadi terrorist and dangerous for propagating his ideology. However, Facebook does not seem to think that he is dangerous. It, therefore, clearly shows the Hindu-hatred stand of Facebook”, said Mr Chetan Rajhans (National Spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha) in a press release.
Mr Rajhans added, “Only last week, Facebook’s former Data engineer Francis Hogan has testified before the US Senate that Facebook is dangerous for small children and Democracy. Even earlier, Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg was called by the US Senate and questioned about the allegations levelled against Facebook regarding its watch on citizens and divulging citizens’ personal information. Therefore, Sanatan is not concerned about who is on the secret list of a company like Facebook, which itself is a threat to Democracy.
There is a conspiracy of systematic false narrative against ‘Hindutva’ going on in the USA. Before 2014, for nearly 8 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, was banned from visiting the USA. In 2018, in the list of CIA (American Intelligence Agency), Bajrang Dal and Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) were classified as ‘militant religious organisations’. Now, Sanatan Sanstha’s name being included in Facebook’s list proves that Sanatan Sanstha is effectively propagating Hindu Dharma.
People may wonder if all social media is bad. Now, interestingly the research team also asked two seekers to view the social media feeds of the Spiritual Science Research Foundation for just half-an-hour, and in contrast this had just the opposite effect wherein negativity reduced and positivity increased. It also showed that the type of content that a person watches on their social media feed is an important criterion in assessing the impact of social media.
Jihadi organisation ‘Popular Front of India’ is not considered dangerous by Facebook !
Mr Rajhans said that Facebook does not seem to think Popular Front of India (PFI) and its 42 associate organisations are dangerous even though they are engaged in terrorist activities in India. Facebook treats the accounts of Telangana BJP-MLA Mr Rajasingh Thakur, ‘Sudarshan TV’ channel (that openly promotes ‘Hindutva’) and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, which are working for the establishment of the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ to be dangerous accounts. This is most condemnable and discriminatory.
Sanatan Sanstha’s challenge to Facebook
We also challenge Facebook to show at least one objectionable or anti-social post of Sanatan Sanstha. Sanatan Sanstha is a spiritual organisation, which propagates Dharma by remaining within the framework of law and the Indian Constitution. The Indian Government has clarified time and again that there is no proposal to impose a ban on Sanatan despite the opposition’s demand to this effect.
