More than 900 religious fanatic civilians aiding terrorists in Kashmir in Police custody

• It is good that for the first time, the Police took steps to detain local religious fanatics, but it should have been done much earlier.
• The veiled or unveiled support by religious fanatics and anti-national citizens to terrorists is responsible for jihadi terrorism not ending in Kashmir. Such people should also be declared terrorists and punished severely.

Srinagar (J&K) – In the last 6 days (since 13th October), Kashmiri Hindu and Sikh civilians have been killed by terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir. Since then, more than 900 local religious fanatic civilians have been detained by the security forces. They have been accused of sympathising with terrorists. Most of these people are suspected to be related to the banned ‘Jamaat-e-Islami’ terrorist organisation. These people are on the list of ‘Over Ground Workers’ (OGW) of terrorists – the eyes, ears of Underground Workers. They continue to provide various types of assistance to terrorists – houses to live in, etc. These people have been detained from Srinagar, Ganderbal, Budgam and South Kashmir and are being investigated.
