1. Most people are aware of the fact that Bangladeshi Muslims have encroached on the land here. I always keep reminding Muslims of Assam that their ancestors did not eat beef. Hence, at least do not encourage beef-eating.

2. In this country when people are reminded of tradition, they get angry. Rights emerge from the values of our civilization. It cannot be seen from an independent perspective.

3. Muslims of Assam are also happy with the ban on the use of beef within a 5 km radius of the religious places and this has increased harmony. Muslim organisations are not protesting against the new rules of eating beef; this protest is done only by the Communists.

4. National Registration of Citizens (NRC) is applied in the State as per the orders of the Supreme Court, and hence, it will not create any religious tensions. The law itself is to reduce religious tensions.
