1984 Anti-Sikh Riots case

Editorial comment

  • Why is bail even considered for someone serving life imprisonment ? Someone who causes the death of thousands of citizens should be sentenced to death.

New Delhi – After the murder of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Congress leader Sajjan Kumar is serving life imprisonment for the Sikh massacre in Delhi in 1984.

Sajjan Kumar has requested Interim bail under worsening health conditions grounds. The Supreme Court has ordered him to submit a health condition narrative regarding this matter. Previously on 13th May, the Supreme Court denied the bail requested by Sajjan Kumar on health grounds.
