Knife attack on the priest at Dasna Devi temple in Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh)

  • How can one attack when the temple was under Police protection already ?
  • There have been incidents of murders of many sages in the past few months in Uttar Pradesh. It highlights the inactivity of the Police. Hence, Hindus feel that Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of the State should try to protect sages by looking into the matter.

Ghaziabad (UP) – Deadly attack was carried out on an ascetic Naresh Anand Saraswati, the associate of Mahant Yati Narsimhanand Saraswati of the famous Shri Dasna Devi Temple. He has been admitted to a hospital for being seriously injured. The reason for the attack is still not known. Earlier, 2 religious fanatics had suspiciously entered the temple to attack Mahant Yati Narsimhanand Saraswati. The temple is under Police protection since then. (If this is the case, then were the Police sleeping when this happened ? – Editor)

  1. The unknown killer jumped across the protection wall and entered the temple premises. It is being said that the culprit attacked Naresh Anand Saraswati with a knife. This happened early in the morning at 3.45. Naresh Anand Saraswati had come to Shri Dasna Devi Temple from Samastipur in Bihar for a programme. He was sleeping in the premises of the temple, in the open when he was attacked.
  2. Police are investigating the case. They are checking the CCTV cameras also. The Police are searching whether the attacker is an outsider or someone from the surrounding area.
