Survey of India : ‘We will take appropriate action’

Case of BBC showing incorrect map of India

The intention to show this map is not to hurt patriotism of Indians, but to highlight the extent of distortion of map of India.

Mumbai – Indian patriots have opposed the coronavirus related video shown on BBC’s English News channel which had shown Indian map without Kashmir and Ladakh regions. After opposition from patriots, the BBC removed the incorrect map and instead of the correct map replaced it with the Indian flag. The President of ‘Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad’, Adv Virendra Ichalkaranji has tweeted the ’Survey of India’ to take appropriate action against it. The Department replied, ‘we have given a due consideration to your tweet and we will take appropriate action’.
