MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh Demands renaming Lalghati and Halalpura the Mughal names

Why the renaming of such names has to be demanded ? Hindus feel that the Government should proactively change the names given by Mughals

Bhopal (MP) – BJP MP from Bhopal Pragya Singh Thakur has demanded the renaming of 2 bus stands, Lalghati and Halalpura. She has given a written appeal to the CM Shivraj Patil and the Commissioner. These names remind of a very ugly phase of Indian history which conveys a sense of ‘betrayal and hatred’, so the places need to be renamed said Sadhvi Pragya.

Earlier, there was a demand to change the names of Minto Hall, Idgah Hills, Obedullaganj in Bhopal and Gairatganj, Begumganj, Gauharganj, Burhanpur, Sultanpur in Raisen District. All these names belong to the Mughal period.
