Public interest litigation filed by BJP member in Jharkhand High Court
Despite being in power at the center and in many states of the country, such restrictions have not imposed by the BJP. Hindus expect such a ban to be imposed without it being demanded for.

Ranchi (Jharkhand) – BJP member Anuranjan Ashok has filed a PIL in the Jharkhand High Court demanding a ban on Namaz on the road and azaan from mosque loudspeakers.
He claimed that, this petition is not related to religion, it is to address the issue of noise pollution.
- Ashok said that, the sound of a loud speaker as per rule should be within certain decibel limits; but this is regularly violated by mosques. The issue was raised with the government last year; but government apathy has forced us to approach the court.
- While talking about the Namaz offered on roads, Ashok said that the law is same for all, hence the Namaz should be offered only in the mosque.
