Unruly members of the Parliament should be punished the same way mischief mongers are punished in classrooms.
The financial loss incurred due to the adjournment should be recovered from the unruly members.
New Delhi: The Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 3rd February amid uproar over a discussion on farm laws.
As soon as the proceedings started, the opposition started shouting slogans protesting the farm laws and the parliament was adjourned till 10.30 am. The ruckus continued when the House met again leading to adjournment till 11.30 am. As the assembly reconvened, the protesting members trooped into the well which led to the third adjournment till 12.30 pm. As the situation continued to be the same, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the entire day.
The opposition staged a walkout shouting slogans “vapas lo vapas lo kisan virodhi kanoon vapas lo”, when the chairperson rejected their demand of withdrawal of ‘anti-farm laws’.
