Locals and protestors clash at the Singhu border!

Sword attack on police by protesting ‘farmers’!

Can we believe that those who are brandishing swords are farmers?

Why doesn’t the government order the police to act stringently against the protestors who are armed with swords, lathis, sticks and other weapons?

New Delhi – On the 29th of January the farmers protesting on the Singhu border were asked to vacate the place by the locals. This changed into a war of words which escalated into an all out brawl. In order to bring the situation under control the police had to resort to lathi charge. During the clashes, a police officer was injured in a sword attack by the ‘farmers’. The police have arrested the attackers. After the Republic Day violence, the Delhi and Uttar Pradesh police have been actively engaged in vacating the farmers who are protesting on the borders of Delhi. A large number of security forces have been deployed here.

Local people are opposing the protesting farmers saying ‘We will not tolerate the insult of India’ and have demanded that the farmers vacate the roads. With both the groups protesting,  it quickly turned to stone pelting. As the protests turned violent and the situation was going out of control, the Police started lathi charge and fired multiple rounds of tear gas shells. The protesting farmers attacked the police who were trying to disperse the mob.
