- Asad Durrani’s name is being connected with former RAW chief A. S. Dulat. Few years ago both co-authored a book, ‘The Spy Chronicles: RAW, ISI and the Illusion of Peace’ after their retirement. The book proved to be a great embarrassment to the Pakistan Army. Kashmir, Burhan Wani, Hafiz Saeed, Kargil war, Kulbhushan Jadhav, Balochistan, surgical strike, etc. are mentioned in the book. It also talks of how Pakistan entered into a secret agreement with America to kill Osama bin Laden. After the book was published in 2018, the Pakistan army had accused Durrani of violating the military’s code of conduct.
2. Durrani has moved to the high court with the petition claiming erroneous inclusion of his name in the Exit Control List (ECL) by the Pakistan govt. The petition seeks ‘ the easing of restrictions since he wishes to go abroad. The case is expected to be heard in February.
